The Other song title game - Member assigned to band - It's a contest!

I'm enjoying the song title game a lot, and I came to think of a twist to it.

Could each of you choose one band you had to get your song titles from, throughout the thread?

I'll be Helloween.

Tip: Choose a band with a few albums under their belt.

The winner is the one with the most posts in this game when the day of reckoning arrives. I'll be the one to declare when. The prize will be something special. That is a promise. ;)

So... don't make me the winner!!! To help you along, and maybe force you to choose band, here's the starting point:

Future World (From "Keeper of the seven keys, part I") - Thanks for the idea, PH!

Now, this is the update section of this post, so check back if you want a repetition of the rules, or look at what bands are already chosen, and by whom.

No double posting. Wait for someone else to reply before you dive in.

Only tracks from official studio releases from the band, or b-sides or other material that the band themselves have played live and released on an official release.

Official cover versions are ok, as long as they were on a studio album by your chosen band. (Choosing Great White as your band would allow "Once bitten, twice shy", 'cause it's a track from their studio album "...twice shy", but you wouldn't be allowed to dive into the Led Zeppelin track catalogue, just because Great White have played all of them and released most of them at some point on live albums, ep's, and collections.)

To answer Bupie's question below, if you have chosen Toto, you can only get songs from the various Toto studio albums. If Toto did a Steve Lukather song live and released it on a live album, it still isn't a Toto song. If you choose Steve Lukather, you only have his solo albums to choose from, no other projects he's been into. We must keep this fairly easy to maintain, and fair, right?

We urge you to tell us on which album the song is from. And if you've got something to tell about the track, cool!

Every song title you come up with will only be counted once. You can re-post the same track to keep things moving, though.

"The" or "A" doesn't count, just to make this a bit harder. 8)

...and to make it a bit easier, you can use portions of words... like, to be sensationally creative...

"The bells of the seven hells" could lead to "Kissing you softly"

Gettit?! :D ;)

And, by popular demand, to make it harder again, "OF" is now illegal!! :D

Bupie

I guess I have to pick Toto since Teunis hasn't shown up so far  ;D

Better World (from Mindfields)

BTW, are solo albums and side-projects accepted ? Just asking (no relation with the fact that Steve Lukather played on hundreds of albums as a session musician).

PH

Out Of This World (from the Afraid Of Sunlight album)

Bupie

Out of Love (from the album Past to Present)

Good idea to provide also the title of the album, PH  :)

Can we give back to back titles or do we have to wait for somebody else to answer first ?

Just so that we can check.

No double posts I think... That wouldn't be fair.

On Topic:
Hard As Love (from the Brave album)

The Butterfly Man

I'll go with Dream Theater!!

As I Am - Train Of Thought

Tom

Edit: Deenfan, maybe it's a good idea to keep track of who picked what band in the first post or something. That way it's clear for everybody what bands aren't available anymore.

Just a suggestion! :)

Great input, people!!

I'll try to keep track, and update the first post as we go. Do help me, though!!!

I'll lay down a few of the rules that seem to be suggested already.

Great. For instance, can we re-use the same song as long we use another word of the title ?

It's incredible how many questions/rules may come to mind for such a simple game (in its principle).

Falling In Between (from the eponym album)

Deenfan

Great question, which was already answered at the time of your posting, but not posted, really, since I was still writing the post!! You will get it counted just once, but you can post it several times, if that is what it takes to get things moving again after a particularly difficult title. I'm guessing the one to choose Meat Loaf will be of a lot of help in that respect!! :D

PH

Thanks Deenfan for your clear rules and hints. It makes it much easier!

Between You And Me (from the Anoraknophobia album)

Well, that's the third of that album already. :D

The Butterfly Man

There will be white clouds beyond the hills...

PH

He Knows You Know (from the Script For A Jester's Tear album)

Finally the first Fish era mentioned in this thread.

Steve Jones

Jethro Tull for me, then!
