NP  Pendragon:  Passion  (on repeat)

Gotta get some more Pendragon albums .....

Thanx for yer prodding, Teunis  :)
You're welcome. I'm sure I've recommended the band, not this album though ;). There are several albums I like more than 'Passion'. Just played the album again. Really great stuff on it (Passion, This Green And Pleasant Land, except for the yodel  ???, Your Black Heart).

Before that I played Wolverine's 'Communication Lost'  *horns* and now Arena - TSDOS  8).
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'

I love her. I really do. ;)

As do I.  I thought she was mine with Steve out of the picture.  Now I have to fight you for her?   :'(

Recently played multiple times on progstreaming.com:

DeeExpus - King of Number 33

Discpline. - To Shatter All Accord

I think I will buy these two.  Fortunately I discovered Discipline. just in time. -- it just dropped off of the list on the website.

Also:

Sylvan - Sceneries   (Needs a few more plays, but another good candidate)

Lagartija - Particelle  (Not my cup of tea, despite the pretty Italian girl on the cover)

Gandalf's Project - Insights   (played once -- worth a second try)

Agents of Mercy - The Black Forest   (Sounded pretty good -- also needs more spins)

Also Played a few times each (already own these):

Arena - TSDOS   (I've got 11 plays under my belt now -- I'm ready to give my comments as soon as I have a bigger block of time while I'm awake ;) )
Arena - Songs From the Lions Cage   (really really good -- it needed more plays than I gave it when I first bought it)

NP: Devin Townsend Project - Ki   (IMO the best of the four DTP albums)
"What is that sound?  It's confusing, and boy is it loud!"

Also like the new Sylvan and the DeeExpus album. Also noticed the beautiful Lagartija cover and agree about the music of that one ;)

Really a great website with the idea 'try before you buy'. I wouldn't have bought the Airbag album 'All Rights Removed' and Wolverine's 'Communication Lost'. I had read positive reviews on a website and progstreaming.com gave me the chance to hear them, so it really works  *horns*.

Today: Pendragon - The Window Of Life  8)
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Bupie

PP Mostly Autumn : Catch The Spirit
JF Genesis : Trespass
NP Galahad : Empires Never Last

Unfortunately, I did not really enjoy any of them. I am especially struggling with Galahad, despite many great reviews. Maybe it is one of those albums that require some patience ...

Teunis

Just played this: http://podcasts.canstream.co.uk/stroud/index.php?id=383. Stream of the progressive Rock and Metal show with Andy Read. During the show you can hear 3 new songs of the upcoming Gazpacho album and an interview with the guitarist. Interesting and  8). Bring on the new album  *horns*.

np: Antimatter - A Dream For The Blind (acoustic)
'I will surrender my heart to the sky
Oh, our love doesn't end here, it lives forever on the wings of time'
-------------------------------------------------------
Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

Deenfan

Savatage - Gutter ballet

Sweet return to some good old times!!

Draco chimera

Layla, Eric Clapton  *horns*

NP: Agents of Mercy - The Black Forest

Yet another thing involving Roine Stolt.  I actually like this better than most Flower Kings stuff I've heard.  It seems to have more focus and punch.

And so ? Is it the Part I ? Did you enjoy it ?

PP Ayreon - Into the Electric Castle
The first two songs are really huge, the rest is a bit of a let-down so far (fellow Dutch Roomies, don't hit me too hard on the head, please ...).

Sean Filkins - War And Peace & Other Short Stories

I am only in the middle of my first listen but we could have a neo-prog winner here  8)

tired_of_dancing

Supertramp - Even In the Quietest Moments
and the birds are just singing and tweeting on the title track. :)
'I can do anything, I'm still the child.'

Bupie

Kino - Picture

Hey Mr nameless, do I seem a bit insensitive ?

Brilliant ...  8)

And for me also Fish – Yang
Quite interesting I'd say... the re-recordings of the Marillion classics. I had not expected that they're so different from the originals, e.g. Sugar Mice, Lavender.
Lavender.....5 minutes and upps did I hear "The sky was bible black in Lyon when I met the Magdalene" ?? He includes Bitter Suite/Blue Angel here.
Quite late and I'm tired, so I couldn't pay the attention anymore the album deserves.
So I'll listen to another time.
'I can do anything, I'm still the child.'

Part 1 but I have part 2 as well. And yes I love it.  *horns*

I've been thinking of checking the Sean Filkins out.

NP Gazpacho - London

Great ! I thought I was the only one (with Deenfan when he passes by  :)) to like it here. The Seven Angels is enough to make Part 2 worth of buy but Chalice Of Agony is really a huge favorite of mine

QuoteI've been thinking of checking the Sean Filkins out.

Do that, I think you won't be disappointed  ;)

QuoteNP Gazpacho - London

A band I still have to check out too.

NP Sean Filkins - War And Peace & Other Short Stories

Of course, as almost always with great neo-prog, John Mitchell is on board for most of the songs  :)

Teunis

Cross - Wake Up Call
Gandalf's Project - Insights

Toto - Wings of time (Kingdom of Desire)

NP: Sylvan - Sceneries

This one has really clicked for me.  It's on my to buy list, and I want to check out more Sylvan.  As to epics, it has five songs, and I think the shortest comes in at something over 14 minutes.   *horns*   That bring up an interesting question: what qualifies a song as an epic?  Is Opera Fanatica too short?  (of course it is since I could listen to an hour of that song, but for epic purposes ...)

Sounds like I should check out Sean Filkins too.  If Mr. Mitchell is on it, how could it be bad?   8)   I have the samples on the Filkins website cued up to play after Sylvan finishes.

I'll also add my endorsement to Gazpacho.  Try something fairly recent (Night or newer -- Night is my favorite by a hair).  I was going to suggest listening to their live album, London, on progrstreaming, but it appears to have dropped off the list.  :-\   It mostly (entirely?) has songs from the last three studio albums.  I still have to check out their older stuff, but I'm led to believe they didn't really hit their stride until Night.
