Or maybe I mis-read the details, and there wasn't an "O" in the spelling...?  ;D

I only have vague recollections of being 19 - long hair, beard, fringed jacket and cowboy boots. Copy of "Back in Black" tucked under arm (that'd be the vinyl, by the way). Thought I was well cool but probably looked and acted like a right plonker  ;D  :D

Two Arena fans in this house, me and my daughter and one philistine (the wife "OMG you got that dirge on again").
Oh well I suppose everyone is entitled to thier opinion, even if it is downright insulting.
I will be 42 in November (15th)
Sam will be 17 in January (6th)

My son Saul is a big fan at age 9 - he first saw Arena at the Underworld in 2003 (when he'd just turned 8) - does that make him the youngest?

We'll both be going to Sheffield (from Bristol) so he can see Arena again in October (and having done this for the Oliver Wakeman gig I'm not looking forward to the drive!)

Good to see you Steve and even better to see you introducing your son to quality music at an impressionable age  ;D . My daughter's only 3 so I'll have to wait for a bit yet  :D

Oliver Wakeman at Sheffield..?? Are you a CRS (Classic Rock Society) member by any chance..??

Cheers  ;D

Yes - only joined earlier this year but enjoy the mag and have picked up on some bands I hadn't heard off such as Bluehorses. It's just a shame all the gigs are 'opp north'!

As a Bristolian I only have Dio and Motorhead to look forward to this year  ;)

Was it a good gig?

Very good - OW did a good mix of stuff off Jabberwocky and Hound, as well as some bits off 3 Ages and Heaven's Isle. He also did a lot of band stuff from his (long overdue) Mother's Ruin album that is very rocky prog and a 'must buy' when it comes out. The only let down was the crowd which wasn't very big.

OW also invited Saul backstage afterwards and gave him his autograph which was a really cool experience for him...
