So what's the occasion ?

I actually think you'l like them - in fact, I'm sure that all Roomies would/will like them, cuz they'r very close to Arena: melodic, a big span from lite to heavy, good lyrics (altho not quite Clive excellence, which is as high as it gets), keyboard atmospherics, super singing and guitar solos - simply a Roomie wet dream 

And not the slightest growl, so also Teunesable and Capable 

There are only two songs from Collision Course on 20th Anniversary (The First Rock and Tears Of The Sun, both excellent). As I have written (ad nauseam), I consider CC a masterpiece in league with and comparable to The Wall. If you get enthusiastic about 20th Anniversary, I recommend you to also get CC.

Well, as you might (re)discover by using the Search function with the word Paradox  , I already own this album and I rather like it. Since you wrote many times that this is not one of their best -although the public opinion seems to think differently- I thougth that this SE is a good occasion to discover more of their catalog. I read that the package is unfortunately very poor and the DVD of very little interest. But it's the music that counts first.

And I'm convinced that CC is their best album, all considered. And as Paxi says - in a bit different wording - f* everybody who disagrees

I like the album, a lot but it's not really the Soundgarden that ended about 15 years ago.
More rock than grunge to me.

Mad, my guess is that you'v only played it once or twice. A take on that basis is meaningless (when it's real prog)

I played it three times. 

In the car.
Without the kids.
To my work.
A full half hour drive.
No traffic jam.
A bit tired though.

I thought that with TFK the extra disc is always part of the normal edition ... the problem being that some of the songs are not so extra.

Just ordered Van Halen's Balance, the one that preceded III. III is simply stunning, I have to hear it again and again, so I'm real stoked about Balance .....

And the book This Is Orson Welles by Mr. OW himself. Welles is one of the very few about which can truly be said : Bigger than life ! Whenever he appears in a movie, not to mention makes a movie, like Citizen Kane, he immediately commands full attention

Knowing these two great bands bands very well, I'm certain I'll thoroughly enjoy both these albums - and else I have Paxi's word for it
