Picked the Earbook version up at the gig, really enjoying it. Great there are live shows on the horizon later this year, with two shows in the beautiful Parkvilla theatre in Alphen, October 16-17.

Really enjoyed the Zoetermeer show! Moviedrome was the inevitable highlight of the set for me, simply brilliant. Also really good to hear Valley of the Kings again. With these two and the Solomon encore the epic side was covered. Visitor got two songs (but the album was amply represented on recent tours) and Contagion none (Madness Lies was dropped from the set early in the tour). The four tracks of the latest album sounded really strong, great to hear 21 Grams live for the first time and the other three were excellent again. Alltogether a strong set with a slight emphasis on the four most recent albums in terms of tracks.

  • Valley of the Kings
  • Paradise of Thieves
  • Bedlam Fayre
  • How Did It Come to This?
  • 21 Grams
  • Moviedrome
  • Time Capsule
  • The Equation (The Science of Magic)
  • What If?
  • Serenity
  • (Don't Forget to) Breathe
  • The Tinder Box
  • Life Goes On
  • Solomon
  • Crying for Help VII

I do hope the tour fatigue is speaking here in the final entry of the John Mitchell tour diary, and this was not the final tour, or a possible line up change..
QuoteI certainly don't know if this band will ever go on tour again or whether or not in this incarnation.
Certainly the reality of touring and the desire to continue to do so at this level has come into question on several occasions since we set out on this journey.

Quote from: Teunis on Wed, 2025-04-09, 20:51:019th May: Kingcrow and Klone. A double headliner show.
Really enjoyed Kingcrow's show. Their latest release 'Hopium' was my favourite 2024 release and live it worked really great 8). Klone played well, but wasn't my cup of tea. The voice of the singer doesn't appeal to me unfortunately.

Quote from: Teunis25th May: Weather Systems (support: Haunt The Woods - UK).
During Haunt The Woods I wasn't feeling too well and went outside for a moment. But what I've heard sounded good. I really liked Weather Systems. Nice to hear all those Anathema classics live again. The vocal performance wasn't as we're used to from Anathema (and Danny Cavanagh was the first to admit that his brother has a wider range), but there were several goosebump moments. Had a wonderful time *horns*.

Have fun. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend an Arena gig this time. I'm away at the Ascension weekend.

Good to see you back Maddox and glad you've found some happiness after what you've gone through. Hope it'll work with your mutual kids.

I'm fine, enjoying life with 4 grandchildren. I'm getting old ;). Such a blessing!
