Cover artwork sale
« on: Fri, 2006-11-17, 09:05:06 »
Good morning Arena people.

David Wyatt here - I'm moving house shortly and have decided to sell some things to soften the financial strain of it all...

I found a couple of things which someone may like -  the original black and white drawing that forms the basis of the Pepper's Ghost cover. Other elements and colour were added digitally, so it's not complete. Clive also decided he didn't like the umbrella, so you'll notice in the final art he has swapped it for a lantern.
The other piece is the black and white Smoke and Mirrors DVD cover; again, coloured digitally afterwards.

This is the link for the online seller-
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/OddsnDodds

Thanks for looking,

David

Thanks for the interest.

I don't know anything about Contagion Max - I've done some work for Clive's Caamora project, but as far as I know my next job will be Arena's studio album in 2007...

Certainly touch and go there for a minute, but yes I got it - really pleased!!
See a few of us were after this one - like you say this went for £51 but Smoke & Mirrors DVD artwork went for only £14.50.

Anyway, this will (eventually) hang nicely next to my Marillion/Fish prints signed by Mark Wilkinson (artist)

Many thanks David for putting these items up for sale.

Sorry Peter. I did expect a bit more af a bidding war on the Smoke and Mirrors artwork too though, and am rather surprised at the price.
Good to see the PG cover go to a good home mdread. Have you checked out the SIZE of it?

As for being rather silent, I do read these forums every day, but for some reason keep having login problems telling me my cookies are not set properly. I've reset the password to the same one again, so hopefully this will resolve things.

Thanks David - payment is already made and I'm looking forward to framing it. The postie better take care of it though !!

Cheers

Stuart

Actually, I forgot to bid again... I could have placed a higher max bid right from the start, but somehow, I was distracted... So well... Good to see some Arena "action" here :)

Don't you have some extra prints for sale?

Hugh Syme has prints available. I contacted him (I wanted a print of The Visitor and Immortal?) but never got a reply back... (I'll try again right away, LOL)
Is there a way to buy some prints of Contagion, Pepper's Ghost or any other Arena-related prints?

By the way, this piece of work reminds me of this piece of work

You created both?

No plans for Arena prints, I'm afraid.

Clive's 'Skeletons' collection was inspired by my picture of the Librarian , which featured on a Discworld calendar - Clive saw it and asked for something similar...
