Seconded!

And Greg Phillinganes (of Toto) used to be Jackson's musical director. ;)

Granted, i like the album Thriller and tracks like Dirty Diana (not because of the title though  ;)) and a few more but this dude/fella/guy-thingy is highly overrated in my humble opinion.
He's not my 'king of pop'.

That's Robbie Wiliams.  ;)

Seconded!

Thirded !

I don't play him anymore, but Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous are classics  *horns*

... I'd like to request that Room members begin talking about bands that really suck rather than those that are great.

Let's see: Scissor Sisters surfaced a while ago, and unless you wanna become her twentieth husband for a year, Madonna's latest albums are excellent nogos  ;D

The name 'Celine Dion' springs to mind.  ;)

And far too often lately.   :(

He did have some talent, but if only he had used it for niceness instead of evil.  (and if anyone gets that reference, I'll be extremely impressed since it's both American and old)

Very Flower Kings-ish if I'm supposed to believe the cover painting.

Actually....

A bit yes and for the most of it no.  ;)

The Garden has everything in it: Rock, prog, sympho (not much but still), bit of fusion, even some jazz and a bit of pop.

That's why it's such an original release.
However i must say that i do think that some songs could have been left out of the album.
It's long. A little too long if you ask me.

But still worth every penny .  :D

Just arrived:

Devin Townsend: Infinity
Devin Townsend: Physicist
Riverside: Second Life Syndrome

Perhaps it would be more efficient to just give Inside Out a call and have them ship over their entire catalog.

Why not phone the Devin himself and say "I AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN!" and get them for free.

Not a bad idea except a) At this point I already have most of his stuff other than the Strapping Young Lad albums and b) I meant ALL of the Inside Out catalog, not just Devin's albums.  It seems just about every CD I've bought in the past year is on that label with the exception of the Porcupine Tree stuff.

Alright. Yes, true. Most of what I've got, is from InsideOut too. We should be grateful that such a label exists.

Bupie

It had been a while that I didn't buy anything. Hum, well, a short while, that is.

So, for my upcoming birthday, I just ordered :

Pendragon - Pure
Saga - In Transit    By the way, Nicky, did you know that this album had been recorded live in ... Denmark !

Nicky007

Nope. Thanks for the info, Bups.

I quite like Saga. I'l soon have to give'm a proper run again .....

I agree.  Of course, I think most of us here are showing our gratitude with our wallets.   ;)
