Two possible top-10 contenders for my top-10. I like the solo album from Daniel much more than the Anathema album 'The Optimist' ::)

Magnum - "Lost On The Road To Eternity"

Hmm.. pretty good! When I was still in my musical infancy and really blown away by the Nolan and Wakeman albums, I was checking out all related bands. So naturally Magnum came by. There were a few songs that stood out for me but at that time I was also discovering Ayreon and Dream Theater. So I never really invested much in Magnum. This might change with this album. I'm really into it.

Magnum - "Lost On The Road To Eternity"
I remember hearing a Magnum album once and I liked it. 'Into The Valley Of The King' (2009) does ring a bell and was probably that album ... For the same reason (so many good bands/music) I stopped listening. Will listen to the album soon, curious.

I have a few older albums of them, very good band, made some epic music in the past.
Bob Catly is a very good singer.

Toto - Greatest Hits: 40 Trips Around The Sun

Another collection album, now because of the fact that the band exists 40 years this year. It contains 3 new songs. As a Toto fan I just have to buy it, but I often wonder why ... To rip of the real fans? ::) ;)

Kayak - "Seventeen"

Pretty good! Sometimes a little bit cheesy and the English is not perfect. But that's not fair, because as a Dutch person, I instantly hear that the singer is Dutch. So I'm biased.
Still, I'm very impressed by this album so far!
I'm considering buying this and might even backtrack through their discography for real this time.

Going to see him in Helmond next week and I'll be buying the EP then. And hopefully get it signed ;).

So, I'm discovering quite a lot of new stuff lately. Some better than others.

Today I was listening for the third time to:
Perfect Beings - "Vier"

I can't say I was immediately grabbed. But, as always, something keeps pulling me back to this album, and there must be a reason for that.

Also:
Rausch - "Book II" which is interesting as well.

Oh, and of course I also listened to:
Neal Morse - "Life & Times"

Which was released yesterday. No Prog this time (more of that later this year), but more like "Songs From November".
It needs some more listen sessions, but sure, not bad!

Perfect Beings - "Vier" again. Makes me think of Yes and Glass Hammer too.
But this might be interesting for a lot of different people, because it's strangely accessible. Sometimes it makes me think of Neal Morse, Radiohead, Steven Wilson and (indeed again) Genesis.

Spiral Key - "An Error Of Judgement"
First listening. Very progmetal. The track Dark Path has John Mitchell guest soloing. And, of course, his guitar solo is unmistakably John Mitchell. *horns*
I still need to work on the rest of the album.

Umphrey's McGee - "It's Not Us"
I've seen this band being hyped a while ago. Perhaps there are some fans here. (If there's still anyone else besides me and Teunis.) Somehow I expected an experimental sound, a bit on the jazzy side of pop/rock. But it seems it's something entirely different.
