Since copying a good proportion of my legitimately owned CDs onto my new toy (Creative MP3 player with 60gb hard drive) I have been playing tracks at random from my collection and am rediscovering music I forgot I owned.

Of late there has been a fair amount of Hawkwind and Savatage.

Within Temptation - The Silent Force (- See who I am)

Just put this silver biscuit onto the old gramaphone...not as heavy as "Nightwish", but some nice harmless melodies - next up is their previous rendition "Mother Earth"...

...and as I speak, the first "Celtic-jig-meets-Blind Guardian" hits me between the eyes, in a punk-Sparks-Charlotte Church-sonic cathedral of sound-wibble-thang stylee...

This is Gelert, reporting from prog-ravaged studioland, with a beer in hand....  :P

Must admit, I'm struggling with that at the moment - prefer it to the new Spock's one though.

Was playing Wishbone Ash "Argus" last night, a true classic album, (sighs) they don't make em like that anymore  :(

The working week over, and with beer in hand, it's time for some H.I.M.....a little bit of "Greatest Love Songs vol. 666", which, scarily, sounds like Killing Joke crossed with The Smiths...

Still, a beer in the hand is worth more than two in the fridge....er, ...or something...  8)
