Now listening to No-Man mastermind Tim Bowness with his brand new album "Lost In The Ghost Light".
At this moment I'm still listening through Spotify, but I ordered the album because I'm enjoying it so much. In fact, it's the first 2017 album that I bought, so by default it's on number 1 in my 2017 top 10. ;)
Also ordered his previous two solo albums, "Abandoned Dancehall Dreams" (2014) and "Stupid Things That Mean The World" (2015) and I won't rule out the possibility that I'll be listening to some more No-Man soon.

I'm calling him the No-Man mastermind, because from what I hear in his solo albums, this man seems to be the force behind No-Man and not Steven Wilson. In any case, he produces high quality releases on his own (sadly, unlike Aviv Geffen of Blackfield, for instance).

Anderson/Stolt - "Invention Of Knowledge"

When you're doing nothing and just relaxing, and putting this one on, on full volume, it's pretty great. But still, while Jon Anderson is really good on this, he's given too much space. I would have liked more Roine and less Jon. More instrumental and less voice. Still a nice listen after a long day's work.

Still listening to Tim Bowness' "Lost In The Ghost Light" on a daily basis.
I think it's a very beautiful album. The only drawback is the constant mellowness. A pretty mellowness though.

Now I'm awaiting "Grimspound", the new Big Big Train album.

Just finished listening to the 'second disc' of my 'Best Of Neal Morse (Band)' playlist. ;)

While listening to the "?" songs I figured that, with a bit of mixing skills, you could make an 'In The Fire/Solid As The Sun' continuous loop that could go on forever. Wouldn't that be fun? ;D

Now playing:
Barock Project - "Skyline"

Also one of the discoveries I did in 2016. Pretty good! This album is from 2015 and they have a new one out just now. I'll probably should check it out soon.
This is not the standard Italian prog rock (or Rock Progressivo Italiano) but makes me think of Moon Safari or Neal Morse with a heavy reliance on (of course) Barok style classical music. I'm hooked!

Good one! And I'm really looking forward to "The Source" as well. There was an interview with Arjen in the new iO Pages magazine and the new album got a very nice review too.

At the moment I'm listening to OSI - "Office Of Strategic Influence".
I really hope that we'll be hearing more of them soon. It's been too long...

So, what's your take on it? It's very Jon-ish...

I only got to listen to the first 20 minutes of it in the first run. Sounded very retro, and what one has heard so much previously. It seems to me that Jon's many years of being at the cutting edge of rock are over. And I never liked Roine's style that much. But I'll get back to it ....

To me the height of Yes and Jon was reached with Going For The One, and the time around that, particularly Tormato, Drama, and then the fabulous Talk with Trevor Rabin, also a revolution in music, and then the more dampened Ladder and Fly From Here - wonderful albums.

Perhaps if I had been more into Yes during their early years, I would've been taken more by their early albums; but as it is, and as I have already mentioned, the albums up to Relayer bear more historical interest to me than actually gripping me.

Going For the One was the album that stunned me totally, and I reexperience that enthusiasm every time I revisit it *horns*

That was In the Passing Light of Day. Yeah, PoS is one of the groups that I indulge in these days. When I finish writing this post, I'll be on my way to Amager Bio to hear them - preceded by Port Noir, who I have never heard of - let's see .... I'm really looking forward to the PoS concert - whew *horns*

NP  Meshuggah:  The Violent Sleep of Reason

I've heard so much good about this very special group and particulalrly this album, their latest, that I've decided to get into them more now .... 8)

Just finished listening to: Neal Morse - "?"

Goosebumps all the way through. The magic match of music and lyrics.
Many years ago I lent this album to a class mate. He's a christian too, although from a totally different denomination. He listened to this album and while he wasn't too sure about the music (he normally listens to hip hop and some pop or pop/rock), he was blown away by the message and called it 'prophetic' music. ;D He felt the spirit, so to say.
Yes folks, I feel it too. Every time.

In a few hours I'll be watching the MorseFest 2015 blu-ray. "?" and "Sola Scriptura", in my opinion two of the best albums by Neal Morse. Or by anyone, actually.
The MorseFest 2014 dvd was really good and actually (again) one of the best live videos I've seen. Let's see if this one can top it.
And let's hope that MorseFest 2016 will get a release too! (Spock's "Snow")
I know that MorseFest 2017 will be filmed, so there's some good things coming our way.

If Neal Morse is your thing of course. If not, forget everything I just wrote.
